Záznamy is a mobile and web application designed for gastro businesses, restaurants, kitchens, canteens, buffets and other operations that need to regularly keep hygiene records and HACCP documentation in digital form.
The goal of the project was to create a modern tool that replaces paper forms and manual record keeping with a practical digital solution. The application helps businesses record, check and archive data related to hygiene, cleaning, disinfection, temperature control and other duties within HACCP processes more easily.
We designed the project as a complex solution with its own backend, mobile application, web interface, user accounts, digital records and the option to export records into PDF.
Project brief
In gastro businesses, regular hygiene record keeping is an essential part of everyday operation. Many businesses still work with paper forms that have to be filled in manually, archived and searched through later in case of an inspection.
The task was to prepare a digital solution that simplifies this process. The system needed to make it possible to create and manage different types of HACCP records, fill them in conveniently through a mobile application, store them securely and export them later as a clear PDF document.
It was important for the solution to be practical for everyday use in real operations, while also being robust enough for long-term expansion with additional types of records, users, payments and administration.
What the application solves
The Záznamy application serves as a digital tool for keeping hygiene and HACCP records in the gastro segment. Users can select a specific type of record in the application, fill in the required data, save it and, if needed, download the records as a PDF document.

Types of records
The application is prepared for keeping multiple types of records related to hygiene, operation and mandatory documentation in the gastro segment. Individual records are designed so that users can quickly fill in the required data and keep it stored in a clear digital form.

Technical solution
The application backend is built on Drupal, which serves as the central foundation for managing users, records, data, notifications, payments and administration. We chose Drupal because it provides a stable and secure basis for solutions that require long-term development, a custom data structure and more complex logic.
The mobile application was developed in React Native, which allows the application to be prepared efficiently for both iOS and Android. The application is connected to the backend, from which it retrieves data, user settings and individual types of records.
The solution also includes PDF document generation, Stripe payments and a technical architecture prepared for further expansion of the application.

Mobile application for everyday operation
When designing the mobile application, it was important for it to be simple, clear and usable directly in the working environment of a gastro business. Users should not have to deal with a complicated system, but should be able to quickly find a specific record type, fill in the data and save the record.
The application helps reduce the amount of paper administration and simplifies access to records. Thanks to the digital solution, data can be better organised, archived and searched retrospectively when needed.
Web interface and administration
In addition to the mobile application, the project also includes a web interface that allows the service to be used through a browser and also serves as the basis for further system functions. The web part is important especially for account management, payments, access to data and future expansion of functionality.
Drupal administration makes it possible to manage content, users, record types and other parts of the system. Thanks to this, the application can continue to be developed and adapted according to the needs of the project.

The result is a modern digital application for the gastro segment that helps businesses keep HACCP and hygiene records more easily, more clearly and without unnecessary paper administration.
Záznamy combines a mobile application, web interface and robust Drupal backend into one functional system. The solution is prepared for real use, further expansion and gradual addition of new record types or functions.
